Current State Value Stream Mapping

Value Stream Mapping is a foundational tool that typically starts the Lean journey. By evaluating end to end processes, Value Stream Mapping looks at the value generating system to prioritize focus improvement in individual steps. Value Stream Mapping helps to identify waste by graphically depicting the flow of materials and information. Through this tool, participants will also learn how to capture current performance from which to gage Value Stream performance improvement.

• Flow Path Selection through Product Family Analysis
• Identification of Customer and Customer Demand
• Mapping the Process & Material Flow
• Identification of waste
• Completion of Process Data including Takt Time Calculation
• Mapping of Information Flow
• Time Line Completion to include Value Stream Lead Time
• Identification of Improvement Opportunities
