Extended Value Stream (EVS) / Supply Chain Mapping

As waste reduction and flow improvements are made within sites (value streams), opportunities between sites (value streams) become more significant to business performance.  Extended Value Stream Mapping will show participants how to connect multiple value streams and integrate upstream and downstream sites, warehouses, distribution centers, customers, and suppliers at a supply chain level.  Key performance indicators around total lead time, in facility time, and inventory will be captured.  Additionally, information flow through data systems and between site communication will be documented.

Beyond mapping the Extended Value Stream, participants will gain insight and exposure to Supply Chain planning techniques around effective Demand Management, Supply Management, and Product Management.  Connections from forecast to order fulfillment will be explained as well as techniques to manage inventories, signals, and capacity.
