Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Lean Six Sigma is a structured, data-based methodology for problem solving and process improvement. Six Sigma utilizes many common problem solving and analysis tools, and focuses on achieving measurable bottom line results. The most common Six Sigma methodology is DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control).
Green Belts are trained in fundamental Lean Six Sigma techniques including the DMAIC problem solving method, statistical tools, and other common process improvement tools. Green Belts generally work on small, carefully defined Six Sigma projects on their own, or may support larger projects managed by Black Belts.
Upon completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate of completion. For those who choose to continue to certification, students will need to select a project and complete it within six months of completing the course. We will provide up to five hours of telephone coaching and project review time while the student is executing their certification project. Upon successful completion of the project, the participant will receive Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.Green Belt training provides participants with the following skills and knowledge:
- Understanding of Six Sigma measurement
- Application of the DMAIC improvement process
- Definition and selection of Six Sigma projects
- Process measurement and analysis methods
- Identification of root causes
- Development and implementation of effective improvements
- Error proof and ensure lasting change
